Andrew Taylor

Andrew Taylor is the Managing Partner of Groom and Lavers. He commenced his legal training at Groom and Lavers in 1991 when he was 17 years old. He studied law externally through the Queensland University of Technology and completed his degree in 1996 when he was admitted as a Solicitor in July 1996. Shortly after his admission he moved to Brisbane to work in law firms there before returning to Groom and Lavers in 1999.

Apart from his time in Brisbane, Andrew has lived locally all of his life.

Andrew attends to clients in both the Oakey and the Toowoomba offices of Groom and Lavers.

Practice Areas

Andrew has a broad range of experience in legal matters including Property, Leasing, Wills and Estates, Conveyancing, Commercial, Business, Family Law matters and Litigation. He has considerable experience and interest in Agribusiness matters. He is also experienced in Estate Disputes having acted in a number of matters concerning Estates in the Supreme Court over the years.  He acts for individuals, families, small and large business and incorporated associations. In the past he has also acted for local governments, insurers and receivers.

Community & Family

Andrew is active in the community being involved in a number of organisations. He currently sit as a governor on the board at St Andrews Hospital in Toowoomba . He has served as Chairman of the board of Directors of Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland Limited, he has served as a member of the Youth for Christ Board, Secretary of the West Toowoomba Presbyterian Church Committee of Management and President of the Oakey State School P&C Association and Vice President of the Oakey Soccer Club.  He also provides pro bono advice to a number of community organisations.

Andrew and his wife Naomi live in Oakey and have four children, Hannah, Julia, Willow and Kathleen and their dog Archie.
